Our Quality Process
Six checkpoints between raw material and your warehouse — each one designed to catch problems early, not after shipping.

Material Selection
Right metal gauge, well-banded stone and seasoned wood from the start.
Quality begins with raw material. Metal sheets are chosen at a thickness suited to the design so pieces stay rigid; agate is selected for colour, banding and soundness before cutting; and wood is seasoned so it is less likely to move after finishing.

Design & Sample Approval
You sign off on a reference piece that becomes the standard for the order.
We share a physical sample or detailed photos and measurements of a reference piece. Once you approve it, that piece defines the size, finish and colour every unit in the order is checked against — removing guesswork for both sides.

In-Process Checks
Cutting, shaping and joining are reviewed while work is still in progress.
Catching an issue at the cutting or shaping stage is far better than finding it after finishing. Work is reviewed for accuracy of cut, alignment of layers and soundness of joints before it moves on, so problems are fixed early.

Finishing Standards
Smooth edges, even coats, consistent polish and clean surfaces.
Finishing is where a handmade piece becomes a premium one. Metal edges are smoothed so they are safe to handle, coatings are applied evenly, agate is polished to an even sheen and wood surfaces are sanded and sealed for a clean, consistent look.

Final Inspection
Every piece compared with the approved reference before it is packed.
Before packing, pieces are checked for dimensions, finish, colour consistency, edges, joints and any visible damage. Items that do not meet the agreed standard are set aside for rework or replacement rather than shipped.

Export Packing
Material-specific protection, sturdy cartons and clear labelling.
Metal art is protected against scratches and bending, agate against chipping, and wood against knocks and moisture. Pieces are cushioned, corners protected and cartons labelled clearly — with your barcodes or retail packaging on request.

For metal art we look closely at the details that buyers notice first: crisp cut lines, no sharp burrs, consistent finish across the surface and secure layers. Pieces are also checked for flatness so they sit neatly against the wall.
AGATE STONE
Polished & Sound
- Even, glossy polish on display faces
- No chips or cracks on edges
- Stable base on coasters and bookends
- Sets matched as closely as nature allows
Agate is a natural stone, so no two pieces are identical. What we control is the craft: a smooth, even polish, clean edges without chips, and stable bases. For sets, we sort stones to group similar colours and banding together.
WOODEN CRAFTS
Seasoned & Smooth
- Seasoned wood to reduce movement
- Crisp carving and clean detailing
- Smooth sanding and even sealing
- Tight joints, lids and hinges
Wood is checked for cracks, loose knots and rough patches before finishing. Carved details should be crisp, surfaces smooth to the touch, and boxes should open and close neatly. Finishes are applied evenly so colour looks consistent across a batch.
HONEST EXPECTATIONS
Natural Character vs. Defect
Handmade and natural products are never identical — and that is part of their value. We are clear about what is normal character and what we treat as a defect, so there are no surprises.
Natural character (normal)
- Different banding and colour in each agate
- Grain patterns and tone variation in wood
- Slight hand-tool marks on carved or hammered work
Defects (we reject these)
- Cracks, chips or breaks
- Sharp edges, burrs or loose parts
- Patchy finish or sizes outside the agreed range
